A Night to Shine is a celebration of students that aren’t always celebrated, the students that can’t be seen playing on the court or on a field. It’s to celebrate the art students and what they have created, the music students and their passion in music, and the drama club performing their play.
The event is Thursday from 6-7 in the gym. The idea for A Night to Shine came from art teacher Mrs. Whetzel. The main goal for this event is to give the spotlight to students that don’t usually get it. Mrs. Whetzel has put so much work and effort into planning this event, and to make it amazing for the students that are presenting and performing. This event will be happening in the gym at Days Creek Charter School.
Starting the event, the music class performs their music. Following that the drama club will be performing “The True Story of The Three Little Pigs” in the wolf’s perspective, this will be the first time the drama club will be doing a show. After the drama club performs the art show will start, where they will show off the art that was created this year in the art class.
Also during this night the final two superintendent applicants will be revealed to the community, so the public can put their say into who takes over for Mr. LaFontaine after this school year. Then the final reveal will be announced on the 20th of April.
