Days Creek Charter School leadership will be almost a completely new team, both in student positions and the advisory role.
Lydia Ellis, a math tutor this past year, takes over as student council advisor for Rachel Matchett.

Junior-to-be Maggie Brown was elected student body president.
“I am really excited to see what improvements next year’s student body will make next year,” Brown said. “I would really like to encourage that there would be a cooking class with Mr. Josue. I am very happy and excited for this amazing opportunity.”
Student council is tasked with organizing events like homecoming. It can also act as a sounding board for the student body. The new student council begins its journey with excitement, fresh ideas, and plenty of school spirit. From planning fun events to representing student voices, the council is ready to make this year memorable for everyone. Whether it’s organizing activities, solving problems, or simply bringing more smiles to the hallways, one thing is certain and that is that the future of the school is in energetic and capable hands. Here’s to a year full of teamwork, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
Clara Crume, who will be a sophomore this fall, was voted vice president.
“I really would like to be able to plan more dances and possibly get funding for vending machines,” Crume said. “I am surprised but very excited for the opportunity.”
Another sophomore-to-be, Penelope Cronin, was voted treasurer.
“I am very excited and I would like to improve the budget,” Cronin said. “I am excited to help plan homecoming and would like to start more fundraisers.”
In other roles, Hannah Giles, who will be a freshman, was elected secretary, and Tanner Angle, who will be a junior, was elected Sergeant at Arms.
Many students that attend Days Creek would like our events to be more well known. While some of it may be hard such as adding new dances or even adding vending machines they are willing to try for the Days Creek Charter school.
