Photo essay: Turkey Trot 5K/mile

On Friday, Nov. 19, Days Creek hosted the inaugural DC Fit 5K and Mile fun run/walk. 43 runners participated in the 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) from campus and out Days Creek Road and back. 26 runners competed in the mile on campus, including the new fitness/nature trail. Sophomore Wyatt Geiger was the men’s winner in 25 minutes, 57 seconds. Fellow sophomore Kate Clifton won the women’s race in 26:01. Winners received a turkey and cutting boards made by the Days Creek wood shop class.
