Early Monday at around 1 a.m there was an attempted break-in at Days Creek’s local store, Strong’s, according to employee Lizzy Hartzell. 

The attempted burglar was an unnamed woman who was suspected of being a community member, Hartzell said. 

The burglar stole nothing from the store and was caught by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after the store’s security system went off when she was attempting to climb through the ceiling from the gas tanks. 

The only injury sustained was an unspecified arm injury from the woman.
