The Days Creek football team will play Alsea 1 p.m. Saturday in a Special District 2 crossover game as Creswell High School.
The game has postseason implications for the OSAA 6-man state playoffs. The winner will advance to state with one of the league’s playoff berths. The losing team could still make the 12-team playoff bracket as an at-large.
The Wolves (4-3, 3-3 SD2 South) are ranked No. 13 in the OSAA rankings. They are coming off a 62-0 loss to North Lake last Thursday that dropped the team to third place in the league standings. Alsea is 4-3 and 3-2 in Special District 2 North.
