Berlingeri voted student body president

DAYS CREEK — Senior Neston Berlingeri was voted by his peers as student body president for the 2020-21 school year, defeating fellow senior Zane DeGroot.
The vote was held Tuesday via Google Forms among grades 9-12. Exact totals were unavailable as of press time. Berlingeri was the student body centennial in 2019-20 and was the Class of 2021 president as a junior. DeGroot will be the student council reporter.
In uncontested races, junior Fionna Ketchem was named vice president, freshman Kate Clifton was named secretary and sophomore Kailee Chandler was named treasurer.
The student council lists its purpose “to give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.” The councilĀ also shares ideas and concerns with school staff.
