The homecoming week will be an eventful and fun week. The return of the Powder Tough volleyball on Thursday during the assembly. The homecoming bonfire will take place after the volleyball game on Oct. 16. The theme of homecoming is School Spirit.
The homecoming court will be presented during halftime at the football game against McKenzie on Oct. 17.
There will be dress up days, starting with Monday being Disney day with the lunch activity being run by the seniors. Tuesday being Camouflage Day, with the lunch activity being run by the juniors.
Wednesday will be class colors. Freshmen are red, sophomores are pink, juniors are blue, and seniors have the color black, with the lunch event ran by sophomores. And finally Thursday is School Spirit Day with the lunch event run by freshmen.
Homecoming princes and princesses are: freshmen Boe McNeely and Clara Crume, sophomores Asher Meisner and Jazmin Estrada, juniors Ty Sawyer and Natalia Harris, and seniors Trenton Ladd and Emily Deignan.
The week will be packed with sporting events. In addition to the football game on Friday, the volleyball is having its senior night on Thursday against Glendale. That same day, the cross country team is hosting the Days Creek Relays.
The bonfire is larger than usual this year due to discarded wood from last summer’s seismic upgrades on the gymnasium.
Soup will be served at the bonfire. Student council is asking community members to bring in crock pots of soup for the event.
