Calling all thespians: Days Creek Charter School is starting a Drama Club. The new club will be making a soft start by putting on a production of Alice in Wonderland on April 19.
The Days Creek Drama Club will be open to students in grades 6-12 and will be meeting on non-school days. Art teacher Rachel Whetzel will be the advisor.
“In order to avoid conflict with our athletics, and to make the club available to as many students as possible, we will be meeting once or twice a month, most likely on Fridays,” Whetzel said.
The Missoula Children’s Theater will be organizing the production of Alice in Wonderland. The MCT is an arts organization based out of Montana that helps schools put on theatrical productions. The group helped Days Creek put on a production of the Snow Queen in 2021.
The school is seeking accommodations for two of MCT’s staff while they are in Days Creek between April 14-19. Staff have their own transportation and food, but need guest beds.
