Days Creek graduate Caleb Kruzic participates in the 2022 Days Creek quads tournament. This year's tournament is May 19.
The annual Days Creek volleyball quads tournament will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Days Creek gym.
Players may create their own teams and team names with up to 6 people per team. Each Player will pay $20 to play, but admission for spectators will be free.
The Quads tournament is a co-ed 4 vs. 4, so only four players on each team can be on the court while playing, with two extra substitutes on the side. This year there must be 2 girls on the court at all times also.
4-on-4 volleyball offers some novelty compared to the traditional 6-on-6 game.
“If you’re older, which a lot of our teams are, it’s a lot hard,” coach Rachel Matchett said. “You have a lot more ground to cover.”
Matchett said that most of the teams are made up of Days Creek alumni.
The funds will be put toward the upcoming 2024-25 volleyball season.
