GRANTS PASS — On Oct. 7 Mrs. Whetzel’s high school art class went on a field trip to Art Along the Rogue.
Art Along The Rouge is where artists come out and decorate one of the downtown streets in Grants Pass with sidewalk chalk.
All the artists have their own square shaped space to draw their art in with their social media handles for if you wanted to know more about them and their art.
The theme this year was “Blockbusters on the Block”. Everywhere you walked you could see different characters like BeetleJuice, Mario, GhostBusters, and Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.
There were also a ton of booths you could walk around and look at with a lot of cool items and live music to listen to while looking at the art and booths.
“I found the entire experience very interesting because of all the different art styles,” senior Christine McCoy said. “I liked seeing what kind of theme the artist chose because I saw a lot of Disney but I found the whole experience very fun and would definitely do it again.”
